Im a transfer student and I have been admitted for fall 2014 admission by UCLA. However, I submitted course changes form to UCLA since I will have 57 credits by the end of the spring (the university required 60 credits). The good thing is I still maintain a 4.0 GPA. Do you guys have an experience like me? Will they revoke the admission? I am so worried about it. Thanks

When I was talking to a UCLA admissions advisor about dropping a class in my spring semester, she really emphasized that if I dropped the course and I wasn’t below 60 units, I had nothing to worry about. It seems that having 60 units prior to transferring is MUST. So if I was you, I would call them and ask. I know each cases are decided individually so hopefully you will find a way to work it out with them. best of luck!

I think I’ve heard of UCLA doing that before with others on this forum, but it was under different circumstances if I’m not mistaken.

The other UCs differ in their policies about how to satisfy the 60-unit requirement, so I’m sure a few of them allow you to satisfy the requirement by summer. I could be wrong, though.

As far as I know and from what I heard, the 60 unit being completed by the spring before you transfer is a pretty hardline requirement. You should definitely give admissions a call and explain the situation to them and see what they say.

You need to do whatever you can to get to 60 units this spring. Try online CCCs and UCLA extension. Not all Extension courses are transferable but many are.

Having exactly the same trouble. They withdrew my offer of admission and called me this afternoon to suggest that I have no basis for an appeal.

I doubt any CC is offering Spring classes in May. Santa Monica College, and a few other LACC, are the only ones that have super late starting 2nd 8 week class, which began on April 21.

As for UCLA extension, don’t even bother. The spring semester began way back in March.
