How was Admitted Eagles day and what did you all do today?

all i know is that i'm glad i didnt go....it was ****ing rain in jersey, sure it was in boston too.

It was frigging POURING. I couldn't even go on the campus tour by request of my mother, who is a wuss. Despite the crappy weather, it was still pretty beautiful there. I wish there were more time slots for informational sessions. I didn't get to see the dorms just I could go to the student panel about the Arts extracurriculars, which was well worth it.

You didn't miss much with the dorms. I was in there for about 10 minutes to see a room...it wasn't anything spectacular.

I am waitlisted student and I was interested in going. For all of you that went today, is it possible to "sneak in" or am I pretty screwed?

i liked the campus (despite the weather). I was actually suprised that the campus wasn't dreary, with the weather, because many schools don't looks so great after u see it in bad weather... one good thing came out of the rain... i learned MANY dry shortcuts that students learn to take in one day (it was really trial and error based and the help from students who were pretty friendly)... yea so i didnt see much of the dorms because most people had their doors closed although they asked to open it... i really wanted to see the dorms in Newtown too, but o well... U should visit and see for urself

o yea carnegie, yea u won't get in...there are gaurds and policemen at every corner asking for ID, i actually saw one student getting beat down because he lost his ID (pretty crazy stuff)...also wen u enter u have a chant a oath of honor to swear ur part of the group.... BUT seriously, I'm sure you can get in, there really wasn't any security trying to stop you, but mainly just to help and direct you... many people RSVP, but they had tons of extra welcoming packets for your parents and those who didn't RSVP... just by carrying one, u look like you part of the group lol...

Every time we visit the BC campus to visit our son we recognize the great amount of security that surrounds us. The BC police are definately present! The dorms are only available to those who have a card 24/7. We have to call our son from our cell phone to have him open the door to his dorm for us. As parents, we find this comforting.

haha apbiz ... so you think I can go and enjoy it without problems?

were professors and/or deans at the admitted eagles day?

Each department had a presentation regarding certain major requirements, what the program is about, etc etc, so there were professors from each department at least. For example, at the English presentation, there was one of the professors specializing in Irish Studies.
