Student4ever- yes, we went to “Colleges and Careers”. It was our first time at RIT. We were very impressed at how well it was run, there were lots of happy and helpful people all over campus to give directions when we were lost, answer questions and offer rides on golf carts. My DS is applying for Mech Eng and my hubby was very impressed with how well equipped the labs are. Liked the Dean of Engineering very much.

All I know at this point is that it is through RIT (as in the Japanese professor is going with them) and he is getting 12 credits for it. It sounded like it was focusing on Japanese language and culture. My S is the worst with information sharing. I hope to get more out of him over spring break!

My D was accepted ED into a smaller program in CIAS (I don’t want to name it specifically because I think coupled with other information from the forum it would make her very identifiable). We attended Colleges and Careers and were so impressed with the school. She’s not really crazy about Rochester (geographically), but knows the school is worth it.

Ayraton, I hope you realize that you need to withdraw your other applications since you are accepted ED (and I assume you know the finances are doable by now - the only legitimate “out”). We found it very hard to withdraw the others even though we knew we were RIT bound- we had a lot of curiosity about what she would be offered at other schools. However, it is unfair to take up spots/money from prospective students at the other schools.
