Or whatever CMU calls them. When are they? I'm trying to plan out my visits this month....

Look in the fat letter.

didn't get mine yet, but I'm kind of planning ahead...

For CIT, it's everyday.

Go Here:

Now That I'm Admitted

so theres no actual planned big visit day, its more of just visit whenever you’d like and we’ll do something for you?

No, there’s a lot planned, but it’s pretty much everyday. There are lots and lots of choices that run from April 5 to the end of the month.

I wonder if it is worth going to one of these admitted student days in April, if you’ve already visited, know what you want to do and have no doubt that you are going to CMU. Is this more to help kids decide if they want to go here? Just trying to figure out it it’s worth it to spend the time and $$ to fly 3,000 miles when we’ve already been there.

^I agree. I’ve visited and already know somewhat what I want to do at carnegie mellon and will most probably attend. I don’t exactly live close by either and am not going to waste the money to go there for a couple days. If I have any questions, I’ll just contact them I guess. Not worth it unless you are in a dilemma of whether or not to attend cmu or another school, IMO, of course.

I was at Visiting Day today because I needed some things clarified to help make my decision and I wanted to see it first hand. If you know you are going, or are feeling positive already, I don’t think you need to re-visit.

That seems to confirm what I was thinking. Paying for 2 airline tickets, a couple of hotel nights and a car…when there’s no doubt, and not really any questions, doesn’t seem like it’s worth the money. Though if it was convenient and cheap, why not. And since I’m the one paying for my son, maybe it would be best saving it for the tuition. Going to have to start stockpiling money for that massive bill!
