Advanced Placement Credits..

Hey guys, I hope someone can help me with this question.

I am a senior in high school right now and by the end of the year I will have taken 8 AP classes, and I expect to pass the ones I'm taking at the moment with at least 3s.
I will probably attent this one school that will give me credit for 3s and higher.

But what exactly does that mean? Their website says they'll give up to 6 credits.
For example, most schools require at least 120 credits/units to graduate, so will those credits I receive from my AP tests go towards those 120 I need to get my Bachelor's?

Hopefully someone can help me out with this.
Thank you.

Each college/university posts right on its website which scores on which AP exams can be used for credit and/or placement. You need to read through that college’s website to figure out what 6 credits means. It may mean 6 semester hours out of a total of 120 semester hours, or 6 courses out of a total of 32 courses, or something else entirely.

Every school is different so you do have to research their policies. But it means you get through general requirements faster and can take more courses in your major or double major or take something just because you are interested in it. It gives you flexibility and makes it easier to graduate in 4 years or less!

I guess I have to ask the school.
But thank you :)

Oh I just remembered this-<a href=“College Search - BigFuture | College Board”>College Search - BigFuture | College Board. Hope it helps!
