Advice for applying to Haas School of business

i am an incoming freshmen to Berkeley this fall, what advice can anyone give me on how to get into the Haas School of business when i apply in junior year.

also i read on the berkeley website that 50% of admissions is based on grades, 35%essay, and 15% resume.

what exactly is the resume and how would i make the resume look good

thank you

You apply SOPHMORE year.

You apply late fall sophmore year, find out if you made it in spring, and then you take some summer course or something and are a haas student for your junior and seniror years.

And the website is spot on. If your gpa is good enough your resume can have nothing on it, so keep the grades up. The essay is pretty important but again, how much can you differentiate an essay thats pretty well prepared and shows an enthusiastic student? Not much.

Keep that GPA up.

from my limited knowlede, i know international stuff looks good on your resume...it shows you have a global perspective

does Haas business school have any other major besides business administration? I know Stern has a finance major, does Haas? I want to major in finance

Haas doesn't have a concentration in finance, but you can take your electives in Haas on finance. All Haas students are required to take an intro to finance course.

There is the Global Management Concentration which includes going abroad.
