I plan on taking the bio M and Math II SAT II, is it a good idea to take the chemistry one as my third subject test?

If you know Bio and Math pretty well. Chem is kinda hard but not as hard as AP Chem. Go for it if you feel you can do it.

:)

I took the sat 2 for chem and I thought I did incredibly well. When I checked the CB website and stared at a 680 I was quite disappointed.

I thought the test was easy at the time (they ask questions like what is the most abundant element in the sun, who invented the table, etc.), but there were a bunch of trick questions that I guess tripped me up. I don't plan on retaking, but just go into the test with a firm knowledge of chemistry and you will be fine.

I took it too
make sure you skip the ones you really don't know, just incase in counts against you
I skipped 3 questions, and probably got around 3 more wrong and ended up with 760 which surprised me
so it's not that bad

if you've taken a chem course, you'll be fine. and don't trust practice tests, i took quite a few of them and i always got over a 100 points less than my actual score.

i took sat chem and did pretty well on it.. although i have to caution u of taking 3 tests in one sitting it will be very tiring as u will have to remember three different subjects although chem is very eaasy... most questions are pretty basic but there are tricky ones too. good luck

Yea, the PR book for SAT II Chem is very in accurate. I remember of the 3 tests, i got something like:

780 (Yay)
670 (Um...?)
770 (?!?!)

Actual: 800.

Don't worry about it.

:)
