Many of you guys are familiar with my situation at my current university. Long story short, I am very unhappy with the academics, social life, and tuition price. For what its worth I attend St. John's University.

I'm an accounting major and I would like to transfer out of here as soon as possible, but I'm afraid this may not be possible.

I applied to 4 SUNY's (Cannot apply for CUNY's yet as I have not taken a Math course. Taking one now)

Stony Brook- Accepted for Business Management. Stony Brook does not have a strong business department, and management is not something I would like to pursue. They do not offer accounting.

Albany- Accepted with an intent for accounting. I still need to complete some necessary credits to be officially accepted into their business school. I'm not sure how their business school ranks among the SUNY system, but I've heard that it is mediocre.

Buffalo- Accepted for Accounting. Too far, was my safety school, I don't think I'll be attending.

Binghamton- Awaiting response. Here is where its tough. Binghamton's School of Management is excellent for accounting, in fact the Big 4 recruit heavily from this institution. Currently my grades are not sufficient for "SOM", therefore, I've applied as undecided. If I get in, should I attend? Its been known that an internal transfer into the school of management is near impossible...

My last resort would be to stay at St. John's and finish up Spring with a strong GPA and attempt to transfer into more "prestigious" or "better" universities. Whats your opinion on this? Please shed some light on my situation.

First semester - 2.67
Second Semester - 3.6
Current semester - Expecting a 3.75+

Thank you in advance!
