Advice, please!

So I'm sort of in a weird position right now.

I just got accepted to UCLA and here are the pros of going:

only $6,000 on student loans (everything else is free)

ten minutes from home (which is not a very good thing or bad)

great school

BUT before i was accepted, I would never had considered another school over NYU. I've always dreamed of living in New York City, I attended a summer program at Columbia (loved the city), and my dream school was Columbia (but i got rejected ED), and found NYU to be a much better fit for me.

For NYU I applied to Steinhardt as a communications major.

these are the cons of attending NYU over UCLA:

+probably a lot more expensive (since NYU is notorious for being stingy)
+ steinhardt is pretty unselective compared to UCLA

But the biggest pro for NYU is that I would be living my dream, i would be happy, i think...

What are some advice? Is it easier to get into a grad school from Steinhardt at NYU or UCLA....Whats better?

If I were you, it would probably come down to the money since there is a big difference.

Both schools are great and I'm sure you'd be happy attending either one of them. Good luck with your decision!

GO to NYU. It's a good school, you'd have more fun (after all, it is your dream)

How did you already here back from NYU?

For undergrad, UCLA is a better school. Since money is a big factor I would recommend you go to UCLA. I know college may seem like a dream and everything, but ultimately, it can improve your standard of living. if you have the choice, you do not want to be boggled down by debt early in your life when you need to pay for housing, etc.
