okay so I took the SATs in may, and I got a 2160: 750 CR, 720 W, and 690 M. I'm pretty happy with my scores, but I'm scared that they just aren't enough for some of the schools that I'm looking at, primarily Yale and Harvard. I don't know if I can score much higher if I retake (considering that in my first diagnostic math was 570 and after many practice tests I raised it). I think maybe I can squeeze out about forty or so more points, but I have a very full plate with ECs (starring in a play, etc) so I don't know if the small point increase is worth breaking 2200. What do you guys think?

I think that you should probably focus on other parts of your application. Your scores are in the range they released. But if you feel like you can pump them a little, go for it.

You don't need to retake. Those are very high scores for the URM demographic. You have an advantage, even at H&Y.

Yea. That time would probably be better going towards EC's, rather than just a couple of points on a test.

Looking at your other post in College Admissions, I don't think there's a need to retake
