<p>Does anyone know if there is going to be affordable transportion to the Charlottesville Airport during school holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Spring Break, etc.) ? Thank you.</p>

<p>hazelorb - is that before tip? how many students can ride for this one flat rate? Or is it the rate per student?
Also, how many days in advance to make reservation with cab company for pick up at dorm? How long is the ride to C’ville airport? Sorry if I ask too many follow up questions. I understand if you don’t have all the answers. Thanks for the help.</p>
<p>I remember when I did it it was $20/person which is a huge rip off, but none of us knew eachother and we were all picked up at our respective dorms. But I was upset at being thrown into a cab with 3 people I didn’t know, having to wait while they were picked up, and still being charged $20, so I didn’t tip. 
I had also reserved only 1 day in advance. I recently took a cab from the train station up to my apartment (I am now living near the airport) and that was a good $30 with tip. The ride is maybe 20 minutes, could be 30 minutes with traffic. They’re not driving to get you there quickly obviously…</p>
