After 14 weeks: "It's in the mail"

Two Thursdays ago, 14 weeks after they received everything that was required, an admissions officer told us that they'd made a decision and that a letter was in the mail. It's now a day into the 16th week and still no word. Is anyone here in the same boat?

If they told you that it was "in the mail" 2 weeks ago, you should call them and see what's going on.

I did. They told me to be patient and that it could take up to ten business days for me to receive it. I think we both know that they were blowing me off. They acknowledged that they were way behind in processing. I know I'll get it but I'm stunned when I see that two people here on CC claim to have heard back within a month.

They can be slow at the mail processing end. One student here waited 3 weeks to get his letter.

The admit process can be random too. I know three students who applied practically on the last day. One got her admit letter back by end of Feb. One got in a month after his record was complete (they misfiled his test score). The last one didn't get in until the third week of April.

i was actually surprised.. mine was completed at peak-time (mid november) and it was sent to me in just about one month.. but maybe the letters just flowed in after that

well they told me they reviewed my app on Dec 2nd when everything was officially in, although my app was sent nov 17, but i guess if it takes at least 14 weeks then i wont bother gettin pumped up right now seeing as though it's only been around 7 weeks
