well, don't forget about timezones. schools give leeway for that. when i applied to jhu last year, i forgot about timezones and turned my application in 4 hrs after midnight est (since i'm pacific), but i got a response from the school (even though ultimately i was rejected). don't rely on my experience, but don't worry so much about it. if they take it, they take it; if not, bad luck. hopefully they'll take it =)

but it's still 3 minutes after the hour.

but wait! i'm still late one hour.. right? it was northwestern, so it's in the same time zone, but central to eastern.... ugh.. i suck at time zones. i think i was an hour late?

i got an email "confirmation" saying that they got my email.

do you suggest me calling them and asking though!?!?

saying they got my APP* sorry

wait and also that email is an auto email i believe....... ughhhh

Eastern is ahead of central. So if anything, you got your app in an hr early.

no, i'm central.

What took you so long that you had to wait until 3 minutes after the deadline to submit it?! Doesn't sound very anal to me...

hey don't worry about it. I've heard that they'll even look at applications that come in a day or two late. No one is going to reject you over 3 minutes.

And neo:
sometimes people apply on a whim. I had decided to not apply to NU (too stressed out over my other apps and NU didn't take the common application) but then at the last minute wrote some quick essays and sent in my app to NU. And here I am, at the airport on my way back to NU (thank god!!! I love it there.)

I suppose. I understand, but I still don't necessarily approve of applying at the last SECOND.

Anyway, asdf11 is right about not needing to worry over 3 minutes. But I dare you to try applying to grad school on a whim.

I am going to walk to the admission office tomorrow just to tell them to reject you. :)

"I suppose. I understand, but I still don't necessarily approve of applying at the last SECOND."

who should any of us care what you approve of?

I don't care that you don't care.

I don't care that you don't care that that he doesn't care.

i don't care that you don't care that he ...doesn't.. care ..that ....

actually all i care about is that NU doesn't like frown horribly upon me because i suck at life and my computer is a mess... hopefully they will still take me into the same consideration as other applicants.

bahh i loathe myself
