air-conditioning

I am unsure of my room assignment (accepted kind of late-ish) and I know many dorms do not have AC. However, my friend attends a smaller college in PA and said that her school will install AC (window unit) in a dorm if the student has a medical condition. I have pretty bad seasonal allergies and asthma. Would Penn State comply too?

Yes, they will install an air conditioner if you have a serious medical condition (which is why many students - especially those attending summer session - pray they get a roommate with asthma, LOL). I believe they make you jump through some hoops, though, like providing some type of documentation from your doctor.

Yep it is possible. You have to buy the window AC unit though. In all honesty though, it is only really hot in SC during the first few weeks of the fall semester and the last weeks of the Spring one.
