ALEKS, What is it? Do I have to take it?

<p>I got into a Natural Sciences Major, and want to take Calc 101 Freshman year. I took Calc AB in High school, and the math II Subject Test. Do I have to take the ALEKS? Is it hard?</p>

<p>Yes and no. I think it is to help place you in the proper math class. Don’t be afraid of it. I think it will help you spot where you are weak and where you are strong and whether there are any topics in math you don’t know. </p>
