I find them both extremely easy, and that is speaking about the classes and problems I've encountered of the types.

I did very well in both (A's) but I LOVED Geometry. I ended up with a 104 average in honors. I loved proofs and all that stuff... sigh and I loved logic, too, which was a sub-topic that year. I wish there was more to it, but we learned pretty much all there was to learn on logic. But I really did love proofs. They were so easy! And I liked algebra, too. But not trig or conics.

Geometry needs to die. My teacher was an extremely anal old school Asian teacher who didn't even bother grading our proofs if it wasn't done using a straightedge. Also, it had nothing to do with the 3 other yrs of math in HS, nor can I ever see it having any function in the real world.

I think that Algebra and Geometry are really boring, but probably just because of this teacher I have. I mean, he doesn't grade anything we do except tests and quizzes, and you can barely hear him when he speaks. Geometry seems much more step-by-step memorization and application which doesn't really float my boat.

Geometry is definitely better than Algebra. I do, however, have had a hard time with proofs. For the most part, it's easier and more interesting than Algebra.

I think it depends on the teacher, but I think the statement is true.

I loved (ok...liked) Algebra I, because my teacher was amazing and enthusiastic. On the otehr hand, my Geom Hon teacher had never taught it before, went through 5 textbooks during the course of the semester, and was just...awful. I got A's in both, but I had to work more at Geometry, considering I had to teach myself how to do a lot of it to compensate for his inefficiency.

But personally, I love calculus. =). Which is kinda both, mostly algebra.

My mom and brother were exactly the opposite though. So I think the concept is valid.

Pre-clac is cool, but Geometry is awesome.

I hated Algebra 1 & am currently hating Algebra 2. I think most of the problem is that the teacher can't teach well & it's extremely hard to follow along with what she's doing(the book doesn't make sense to me, so I decided I'd copy the sample problems off the board that she did. Ha! Crazy lady erased it all before I even got the original problem down!!) Geometry was much better, the teacher knew what he was talking about and he left his sample problems up! At least I have him for pre- cal next year.
