Hepatitis B Requirement?

I have no idea whether or not I've recieved the vaccines in the past. However, according to the link on UCLA's website it says that it is enough to just "Provide a statement of 'non-belief' in vaccines" to fulfill the requirement.

Is it just that simple? If I figure out that I haven't been vaccinated and can't get get the six month plan dealie done before September all I have to do is sign some paper that says I don't believe in vaccines?

I believe that is enough to fullfill the requirement, but that could mean that certain work-study jobs will not be available for you. Also, the shots can be done at the university.

I don't think it has to be done -by- September. But you should at least be in the process of getting it done in order to fulfill the requirements.

And besides, they must be making all of us take it for a reason. Better safe than sorry, I suppose.

Hey Tony, I'm in the same exact situation. I just found out last week that I only received the first dose (out of the 3), so I just got my second shot yesterday. I believe, as long as you're in the process BEFORE school starts, then you'll be fine! Go check your medical records and see if you've gotten them or not, if not, get your first shot =)

And you shouldn't just sign it and not get the shots, it's for your own safety! (Unless you really do not believe in the shots, then sorry =P)

The Hepatitis B Shots were required to get into junior high school. Your school and your doctor should have copies of the records. I agree with MadeInChina. The shots are for your safety.

My friend finished hers during the school year, so you should be fine.
