I thought the half time show was great. Throughly enjoyed it.
The game finally became more entertaining than the commercials!
Premature electrification.
Took me a few minutes before I recognized John Travolta.
Ok, I’m calling it right now: best commercial is the T-Mobile “Summer Nights” commercial!
Spectrafinity van!
Suckiest ending to a game! No, wait. The suckiest loss belongs to the Hawks.
Proposed rule change: teams should have to win the Super Bowl by a touchdown. Field goals are too wimpy and anti-climatic.
Great game, Chiefs and Eagles. Hint, Chiefs: cut out the tomahawk chop and the chant. That’s so lame!
I was for the Eagles, so I am biased. But this was anti-climactic.
That being said, well played by the Chiefs.
Horrible to have the game essentially end on a marginal call. It was not holding. Wish that refs would have let the teams play.
Philadelphia loses the WS and Super Bowl in the same season. Must be brutal for them.
Moving on… next level chef.
Ok, so to be neutral to all fans and also your cell phone provider, and in tribute to my beloved DDs as this is one of their (and old dad’s) faves, here’s a hint as to my favorite Super Bowl commercial (already mentioned above):
Well done to Travolta, two greats from “Scrubs” (i.e., Zach Braff and Donald Faison), and a decent cell phone company. And also to the incredibly wonderful Olivia Newton-John, RIP.
But most of all to my DDs!
ETA: let me cut the suspense. Here’s the T-Mobile commercial that I loved:
Rihanna had said she was bringing a special guest onstage with her. The speculation about who it would be was way off! Her “special guest” was indeed special, though.
A Facebook acquaintance mentioned that her outfit made her look fat and I commented that nobody remarked on the weight of the guy who sang the national anthem.
Completely agree. I’ve been a big “Scrubs” fan since the original airing of the series and continue to watch reruns. Adding Travolta to the T-Mobile commericial was awesome in a celebration of Grease.
The game was great. And I bet on the Chiefs, so that was nice too!
I am not a “betting person”, sadly, except when it comes to Powerball and Megamillions. They have shown the better of me.
Travolta looked AMAZING. Adding Zach Braff and Donald Faison, two characters from a brilliant absurdist comedy show, added to it.
Coming right at the end of the SB, it was all the more remarkable
I am not a prude, but that commercial was absolutely tasteless.
