So I contacted the Liaison Officer for my area at the beginning of August by e-mail and expressed my interest in applying to USAFA for the class of 2013 and have yet to receive a response. I received an e-mail from an ALO in a different area two days ago for a fitness skills day and sent that ALO an e-mail asking how I get in contact with the Liaison Officer for my area and did not receive a response back either. How should I go about getting in contact with an Liaison Officer because I know that time is definitely a priority.

If you have started your online application, I would contact your academy Counselor. You are right though, time is very important.

Same thing happened to me when I was applying. One thing you will learn throughout this process is to be PROACTIVE. If you sit back, even for a moment, you might miss your window of opportunity. I called about 20 different ALO's (some from different states) and eventually one responded with the information I needed. Get to it!

Phantomace14 - Find out if you have an AFA Parent's Club in your area. You can most likely contact your area ALO through them. At the majority of our area's Parent's Club meetings is a gentleman, a Colonel I believe, who represents and is in charge of all the ALO's for all of our area. The president of your local club can help you contact your area's ALO. Try that route.

This is a very radical way of trying to find your ALO but it worked for me. Go to AFROTC.com and try looking up your local rep. Email that person saying your interested in applying for an ROTC scholarship (you should be if your're applying to the Academy), tell that person that your also applying to the AFA, and if he/she could locate your ALO. This was easier because AFROTC rep are posted on the website, ALOs is more bit more harder to find but It worked for me.

Where do you live? Keep pushing your ALO. Keep emailing and calling until you get a response. You might be able to track your ALO down at the CFT.

Good luck, and keep trying.
