Already submitted NU RD Application to Weinberg, but want to apply to another school within NU?

I submitted my NU RD Application to Weinberg already and NU responded with an e-mail saying it received all of my materials and my application is under review. Now, I still want to apply to NU but to Medill instead.

In its e-mail to me, NU said: “Should you need to make any changes to your mailing address, or your intended school and major, all requested changes must be made in writing to the Office of Undergraduate Admission.”

What does “made in writing” mean? Do I have to physically mail NU a letter detailing this change?
