Alumni has not contacted me. Help!

I have a Duke Alumni interview on Wednesday at 4:00 PM PST. The Duke Alumni interviewer scheduled the interview at a Starbucks in a local city, but has yet to e-mail me the address as well as his cell phone number. He said he'd email me such information when I spoke to him on the phone when he called me to request an interview. He knew my email too (I asked which email he knows). What should I do?

BTW, there are several Starbucks in the city.

Do you still have the number with which he originally called you? The easiest thing to do would be to give him a call. He can’t expect you to show up somewhere without an address…

No I don’t…He said he’d email me the address and I bet he’d give his phone number within the email as well. I have Vonage and tried to look at received calls on my home phone, but that specific time he called on that day shows Anonymous and can’t see his number.

Oh the joys of Caller ID.

You can always try to get in contact with the head of your local Alumni Association to see if they can help you here. [AAAC Contact List | Duke Alumni Association](Duke)

If not, you are not at fault if you simply don’t show up, assuming no further contact. Call the admissions office to let them know of the situation if you never hear from him. I had a similar situation with a Rice interviewer who didn’t confirm an interview time with me until an hour before it was supposed to start. He was simply having a really busy week at work and couldn’t get to responding. Interviewers are people too, and often people with rather busy schedules; so do all you can to get in contact with him, but if you can’t, don’t fret-- he’ll probably realize that he forgot to tell you how to contact him.

Call the school and tell them of your issue. Your only responsibility is to communicate with the Admissions Dept or whomever set up the interview.

Issue resolved. Your guys’ advice helped. Thank you.

Great! Glad to hear it; good luck to you whenever the new interview may be!
