I am currently in Calc AB. Next semester I will be in Calc BC. Over summer, I am taking Linear Algebra and Differential Equations, along with Calc 3. Then, in the fall I am taking C and C++, along with another more advanced math class. Is this advanced for a high school student. Will colleges like this if I want to major in math. My gpa is low at a 3.6, and my ACT is a 27 but it will improve. Say that I don't improve, where can I get accepted. I have taken a lot of honors and Ap classes. 6 total ap's. More senior year. I want to go to top schools. List me the best schools I can get in to. Thanks. Any help is good.

bump bump bump

Usually, we use a question mark to indicate an interrogative statement.

sorry, but can you help me. Does it really matter if I used a question mark or not.

bump, i would like to know soon, that way I know if I should do more or if I am good. Please tell me.

well yes your ambitions are advanced for a high school math career. i'd take try the sat because an 800 in math will do you well. i don't know enough to recommend any schools to you, your interests seem narrow.

I already have an 800 on the math 2c. I have a 36 on the act math. I got fourth place in state on an algebra team. Is there anything else you would like to know? I can answer any questions you have.

bump. bump.

You don't have to bump a topic five minutes after the previous post. And if you have 36 ACT Math and a 27 composite, I would worry about bringing up those other sections.

stop asking questions you know the answer to

why are people on collegeconfidential blind and rude. Keep things like that to yourself. I said I want to know quickly because I would like to sign up for courses. These courses disapear quickly, in like a week. I want to know soon so I can do some planning. That is why i keep bumping. And, how do I know the answer to my own question. I don't know where I can get accepted. I want to know what other people think. I want to know exactly where I am at. I want to know what level I should be at. I know I need to bring up my other 3 sections in the ACT and I am trying. Holy cow, I never mentioned about improving my ACT. Please, be nice and answer my question if you are going to post. Don't tell me about something else.

I agree. People are pretty rude. I saw your other post. I told you there that you would have a good chance at berkeley. Don't know where else though. Maybe other people could tell you.

thanks for the advice. Can anyone else help me.

yes you are advanced in math. when i doubt, keep taking harder math classes. there's no way it can hurt(unless you fail the class).

yeah, thats the problem. To many hard classes can hurt me. My grades will go down. But, with the classes I am signed up for, if I complete them, what is the best school I can get into.

no problem. Any time.

you're doing pretty well in math, but i would hesitate to say that it's very advanced. i would say advanced would be taking bc calc or multivariable calculus as a sophomore or something.

my brother will actually be taking bc calc in 9th grade. He will be more advanced then me. But, anyways, can someone else tell me a good school i can get into. I know that I am doing well, but I would like a name for a school. That would help a lot more.

bump. One week left exactly.

Tell us more about your ACT scores. Passion for your intended major is a great thing, and of course you are advanced in comparison to the typical high school student. The problem you may face is that there are other fabulous math students out there who also do pretty well in the humanities. If your scores are very low in other areas you may do well to seek remedial help over extra acceleration of your math curriculum. It's impossible to give you a list of possible colleges with the limited information provided.
