Am I competitive for combined dental programs?

Hi, I’m a rising senior at a competitive public high school (Maryland). I’m highly interested in dentistry, considering BS/BA/DDS/DMD programs.

I have a 3.6/3.9 (recalculated), unweighted and weighted.

SAT: 1440. 690 Math, 750 English. Should I take subject tests?

Dental EC’s: 30+ shadowing hours with a hospital dentist. Might get an LOR. 15+ with a in-office OMS. 10+ with a prosthodontist.

Medical EC’s (do these help?): 80+ hours as a volunteer firefighter with a local department. 10+ hours volunteering at a local community hospital.

I have many EC’s, including band, cross country, and I also have multiple leadership positions. On top of that, I am in Venturing (BSA), and have received the Summit Award, similar to Eagle Scout.

Am I competitive for any combined programs, or should I just apply traditionally?

Rutgers
UConn
Syracuse + LECOM
Binghamton + LECOM*
Hampton + UPENN
Muhlenberg + UPENN**

*Heard some weird things about LECOM, like how not everyone receives admission, is this true?

**too competitive for me?

bump.

Side note: over 100 hours of non medical/dental volunteering.

I honestly don’t know that much about bs/dental programs, but from what I know they are really hard to get into. Your SAT is a bit low (I know about COVID-19 and stuff so try to find a test optional one) and your EC’s sound cool, but there isn’t a clear spike. I recommend applying to 3-5 combined programs and then the rest traditional schools.
