Am I going to get denied admission to SJSU for having too high of a GPA?

3.71 is most likely a different league than the average 2.5 GPA transfer student who applies. Will they assume that they're my safety school?

no

@bomerr Are you sure? CSUEB already accepted me but they’re desperate. I’m not sure if SJSU has more self respect.

Your question is dumb and pretentious, but you already know that. And to top it off, a 3.71 isn’t really super impressive.

Are you serious? When have you ever heard of a college denying someone for having TOO HIGH of a GPA?

“Am I going to get denied admission to SJSU for having two high of a GPA?”

Come off your high horse already. For someone with a decent GPA, you sure can ask some dopey questions.

lol

I don’t know if I even have a suitable response for this.

No, you are not going to be denied for having “too high of a GPA.” I can basically guarantee you that you will not have the highest GPA at SJSU.

@2016Candles

It’s probably higher than what the real dick cheney got

omg :)]
well, that escalated quickly.

SJSU does not care about “level of applicant’s interest”; if your GPA exceeds the GPA threshold for your major for the term that you applied to, and you fulfill all other requirements (“golden four” course work, major preparation, etc.), then you will be admitted.

For last year (fall 2014), SJSU’s transfer GPA thresholds varied between 2.00 and 3.50, depending on major, according to http://info.sjsu.edu/static/admission/impaction.html</a> . Thresholds may change every year, depending on volume of applications relative to the capacity of each major.

Yea, with your GPA why don’t you follow your counter part and apply Yale, if SJSU is too “safe” for you?
