Correct. Don't bother.

No offense.

Wow, that was really rude. It might have been the truth but you didn't have to be a prick about it.

he's very right though. 1100 sat...no chance at all unless...no the gpa is low too. go for something lower and look for transfers. unless u got a very special circumstance

You can be blunt and still be polite.

Let's just say the Ivy league is a little out of your league.

But you can still get in to plenty of other good schools!

not necessarily. Why not apply and see where it leads? Your grades show an upward trend each year. Could there possibly be a learning problem that you are not aware of? Do you have excellent teacher recs and EC's? It's better to try and find out you don't get accepted than to wonder whether or not you could've gotten in.

Good luck.

Never say never.....

the "upward trend" definitely shows potential.
try to do really well on these dec SATs... get it in the 1300 range..
I think your improvement may just impress them.
And if you do a strong app with a great essay.. excellent teacher recs... I say why not?
Scores are NOT everything.. just get it into their range.

you can be rude in response to idiotic questions

i know someone with the 1000 range and is currently in cornell, goomba ure not working in the admission office therefore u wouldnt know, i do think there is a chance for xoeoeix to get into an ivy if his dec sat is higher because there is tremendous improvement and i think someone who can like that with a little more studying can fit in right at an ivy

apply definitely, i think you have a greater chance than some one who has 1460, 1490 and 1480 after 3 tries on the SAT, i mean you are definitely showing huge improvements while the person who has 1490 isn't. Universities like ppl who come out weak and get strong, they'll think you have a lot of potential.
gl with apps

and being that he is of minority give him a greater chance

"am i f****d"

no, not yet, not until u come 2 da holiday inn wit me.....JUST KIDDING...HAHA! i had 2 say dat joke wit da title LOL! on da real tho, ion think u could get in2 an ivy skool b/c dey r 4 da overachievas who study all day all nite and get the astounding grades and usually got no lyfe, well sumtimes my work makes me have 2 dig 4 a life too, but yo, aim 4 anotha skool, i mean, ivy league dont alwayz mean da best, just hope 4 da best at a less expectin skool, u can b wat u wanna b, so chill out and keep reachin 4 da starz! good luck!

If you have money I'd say apply. you can at least wave around your rejection letter and brag how you were almost smart enough to apply to cornell...

If you are a heritage African American millionare, yes, you do have a chance.

The big question here is- Do you want to go to an Ivy...and if so why? There are certainly plenty of colleges out there that would be more reachable than the Ivies seem to be based on what you have posted her. BUT you can't get accepted if you don't apply. OTOH...why waste money and time applying if this is not something you really want to do...or feel you have a reasonable chance of attaining?

It's worth applying, but the chances are very low.

Do apply, but dont get your hopes up. Good luck!

i know someone with 1100 in cornell

you guys dont know ****

you can still apply. most schools don't even look at freshmen year grades. also, you had a A- average last year so thats really your full potential and colleges will see that. most kids applying to cornell have around that range of grades. my sister ****ed up freshmen year and missed a lot of school. she went back though in the middle of sophmore year and pulled off really good grades and SAT scores and got more involved in school and now she goes to duke so you never know...
