Thanks!

I applied ED (cas) and just got the good news 2 weeks ago. So, the numbers are still fresh. Your 31 ACT and your 2010 SAT are about the same value with the ACT score the better of the two. I had the same ACT(TWO TRIES) and did not take the SAT. Your GPA is similar to mine(uw).
Gallatin as you know is harder to get into than cas, but I feel you have an excellant chance--Best of luck!!! Perhaps our paths will cross in the Fall.

PS your SATII scores were great. It's the first year they are a requirement so its hard to gauge the impact.

Thanks for the reply! I didn't know Gallatin was harder to get into than CAS... I actually thought it was a bit easier because it was less number-driven, though I guess that could make it harder in a way...

Any other thoughts?

calhart12-- The main reason I feel Gallatin is a little harder to gain acceptance, is due to the number taken. Cas class size I believe is larger. The other reason, you mentioned, is that with Gallatin the numbers are a little harder to forecast. I still like your chances, your EC's are good. It would appear you bring a complete package. Class rank is a bit average for NYU, but overall you appear solid.
