I applied RD to Virginia Tech and am not planning to hear on my decision until April 1st, like many of you. Today in the mail I was told I was eligible to apply to the Honor’s Program. This was good except that I have to write another essay…ugh.
So my question is: is this a pretty good sign that I’ll be accepted on April 1st? Thanks a lot.

of course it is a good sign. good work, you must deserve it and they obviously want students who would fill their honors program and show motivation enough to write an essay. Give them a good essay! See where it might lead...

most of the honors programs have higher sat scores then regular apps, most of the time 100pts and higher gpas so i'd say your in for regular, not sure about honors though but id say apply anyways

you are not getting replies because it is obvious you are In. Now it is a matter of "are you motivated enough to cast yourself into the most challenging Honors Program." I recommend you go for it. They clearly think you have what it takes and it will lead to a rewarding outcome if you give it 100%.
