I got accepted as a Political Science major. I was recently rejected by UCD and UCSD, waiting for UCI and UCSB. What would be the best choice for a future grad school student for Law if I were to get accepted to UCI or UCSB? Should I just go to Cal Poly SLO? Am I lucky to have even been accepted to SLO?
Edit: I did take AP Calculus AB Senior Year.
Edit #2: I’m also doing really bad in AP Calculus, I got a C last semester and I currently have a D, would my admission be rescinded if my admission was based on me taking AP Calculus AB?
75% of students admitted into Cal Poly have a weighted GPA of 3.75 or above. So, at 3.79. you look like you are in the 25th to 75th percentile. That would make you a fairly normal student by most statistical analysis. However, everyone who gets into any college is “lucky.” You are lucky that you have the opportunities that you have, so make the most of them and may you have MORE good fortune in the future.
I didn’t realize that my post sounded so much like @HomeWithKevin. Sorry for the redundancy. Still, the truth is the truth. Make the most of the opportunity.
You really want to bring your AP Calc grade up to at least a C. Cal Poly explicitly states that grades below a C are grounds for rescinding admissions. It doesn’t matter which class it is.
