Hello, I'm an upcoming highschool senior, and I've decided on my schedule for my senior year.

AP Chemistry
AP Biology
AP French
AP English Literature and Compo.
AP Calc AB
AP American Gov (1st sem)/ AP Macro (2nd sem)
AP Comp. Gov (one sem)/ Free Period (one sem)

Now, am I making a huge mistake and just overloading myself with so many Ap classes? I know for sure that AP Lit won't be an issue, as won't Macro and Calc. But i'm worried about the rest, especially Chem, Bio, French, and the Gov classes. I'm a smart, hardworking student, but I don't want to push myself over the limit. That said, I do plan on doing self-study during the summer before I enter Sr. year, so I can get a head start on my classes and ease my burden, and I've given myself a free period for one semester. I've taken 4 AP's sophmore year, and i found it very manageable, but am I just being cocky in thinking I can handle this many? Advice would be great.

Well, that sounds like a lot to me, but my school only offers 5 AP classes total, so I was raised to think differently.

I’m in AP Lit and AP Calc right now, and they’re really no big deal. My AP Lit teacher is a bit vain and thinks it’s our only class, so he overloads us with homework, but I still have so much time to do other stuff. My AP Calc teacher skips on us a lot and so we’re behind, but the content is easy enough, although I have no idea what I’m to expect on the exam.

If you’ve managed 4 AP classes already, you should be fine. You know your limits better than anyone, and if you’re the kind of person to learn things over the summer, then I think you’ll be just fine with AP classes and with college. :)
