Am I obligated to take Subject Tests if I took the ACT?

I took the SAT and got a 1960 - then I took the ACT and got a 28 Composite.

I'm thinking about sending them both to the colleges I'm applying to, and I haven't taken SAT IIs yet.

If I sent them both, seeing that people who send ACT don't have to send subject tests, would I have to take the SAT IIs nonetheless?

Depends on college. Which are you applying to?

Boston coll, cornell, johns hopkins, middlebury, umichigan, USC,wesleyan, williams

BC and Weslayan take ACT in lieu of both SAT and SAT IIs, Cornell and Williams require two SAT IIs even if you submit ACT. The rest of your colleges do not require SAT IIs. Hopkins recommends three, USC two, and both recommend them even if you submit ACT. Michigan does not even recommend subject tests. Middlebury allows you to meet its test requirement by submitting SAT, or ACT, or, alternatively to both of those, three subject tests so subject tests are not needed if you submit SAT or ACT.

But the true question is, will they accept January 26 SAT IIs? I tried calling Cornell and Williams’ admissions office but they seem to be on winter break.e

Williams says their testing deadline is December.

[Apply | Admission](http://admission.williams.edu/apply/)

Cornell accepts the Jan test if it arrives in time to be considered and it will if you designate Cornell as one your free sends in your test registration and thus send the scores blind. That results in the fastest form of delivery, actually faster than rush delivery which Cornell does not want.

try harvard

Just check each colleges requirements. If you cant find any answers you can always call the admissions office.
