If I take the ACT, do i need to take the subject tests?

Please, i'm confused with this. This one book i read said that i didn't have to take the SAT subject test if i took the ACT instead of the SAT

was that book written in crayon?

Some Ivy Leagues don’t require subject tests if you take the ACT. I’m not sure about other schools, but Stanford doesn’t require SAT IIs either. And do note that people DO get accepted without taking any SAT IIs, but it doesn’t hurt to take them.

Depends on the school you’re applying to.

Go here for a list of colleges that require, recommend or consider subject tests [Compass: Admissions Requirements](<a href=“SAT Subject Test Requirements and Recommendations - Compass Education Group”>SAT Subject Test Requirements and Recommendations - Compass Education Group) In the required column you will see a number for subject tests required and next to some of them is an *. That * means the college accepts the ACT in lieu of both the SAT and SAT subject tests. If there is no *, the college requires subject tests even if you submit ACT. Also, those in the recommend and consider column, recommend or consider subject tests whether you submit SAT or ACT.
