Am I on the right track for Penn State?

Hi, guys. :)

I'm seeing if I'm on the right track to be accepted into Penn State.

I'll start off by saying I'm in 10th grade. I'm taking my PSATs in October, so I have no idea what my scores would be around for the actual ones.

Anyhow, here is the goods:

Unweighted GPA: 3.11
Weighted GPA: 6.01 on a scale of 7.5
Extracurriculars: Ninth grade, none.
This year I'm doing Cross Country, Winter Track, Spring track along with Italian Club and Club Interact (community service). I plan to continue XC, Winter and spring track, and Club Interact. I might do a different club next year to take Italian's spot.

I'm taking the hardest courses possible right now. They're all honors. I'll be taking pre-calc at the end of the year. Most likely be taking AP Calc, AP English, and possibly AP Physics (not sure, I like physics except my grades were kind of iffy for it last year).

I know everything is vague, so it's hard to give a good answer, but I'm definitely trying much harder this year and hope to continue this until I graduate in 2013. I'm trying to get GPA up also. That's the problem I see.

Thanks a lot for reading this. :)

edit: Also, I plan on doing AFROTC. I'm not sure if that would help my chances.

just do well on the SATs/ACTs and go for leadership roles in your extracurriculars
