Am I Out of My Ivy-League?

Sup, girl?! You have nothing to worry about numbers-wise. Your SAT is certainly above the “in-the-door” threshold, and if you’re worried about the subject tests, don’t be! Mine weren’t nearly as good as yours – in fact, they were pretty bad – and I don’t think that hurt me too much.

You’re in at UMBC (although I know nothing about that scholarship) and UMCP (you’ll get half or full Banneker Key), of course. And you can count JHU as “in”, too, because they love our school and because your science stuff is awesome. I’d be incredibly surprised if you didn’t get into Georgetown or Wellesley (assuming your essays are good, which I’m guessing will be the case).

The rest, of course, are impossible to predict, but you’ve got as good a chance as anyone. You’ve got intense science stuff, the “leadership” thing that schools love, and a nice variety of things on your resume. (Hindu Sunday School? Neighbor Ride? Very interesting and non-typical activities!) I’d guess that out of Brown, Harvard, MIT, Princeton, Swarthmore, Penn, and Yale, you’ll get into at least three of the seven.
