I will have taken 10 APs before I apply to college and 15 before I graduate.

I have taken a couple already Math and History (BC and Euro) and got 5's on both.

Should I go for 20 of them or no?

It depends ... do you consider that to be 'enough?' It's all up to you. I think 15 total AP's is not bad at all.

Are you kidding me, man?
Why on Earth are you doing that?
Get a life.
I'll have taken 11 APs simply because of my school's curriculum, and I think that's ridiculously high.
Colleges will like some interesting ECs more than exhausting every AP in your school. By taking so many APs, you're indicating that you have no direction and have no passion for anything but your scores.

ummmmm...it really depends. If you're aiming for ivy leagues 20 is the bare minimum. So I'd recommend padding or app w/ more AP's.

JK

Yeah 20 is nothing.. You'd be a lot better off if you were trying to do every AP offered by collegeboard...
/sarcasm

I'll have 11 APs/tests when I graduate, and I've got the most at my school.

Its not ECs I am worried about... I got to The Lawrenceville school which is one of the best schools in the country (after damn exeter and andover) and I have 5 clubs which I am already president have... I got more than a 2300 .... 2 internships (one at a hedge fund and another in a developing country) and I have close connections with some inside admissions officers at penn, columbia, and harvard.

I just wanna make sure everything is going perfectly

15 is impressive. I took 12 and that's the highest in my school (6 by the time I applied to college). Look at this way: I believe between 9000-10,000 students are awarded National AP Scholar each year. So only approximately 9000-10,000 students in the nation have scored 4 or 5 on 8 or more AP exams by the time they enter college (this is NOT even by the time they apply to college: that number is only in the hundreds, I believe).

Not too shabby.

I think the number is about 700, considering Ivies, stanford, and MIT have 27000 seats each year i think most national scholars will get a great school.... but college is more that just that... where do u go to college Joe?

It should be sufficient. Colleges don't care once you hit this amount anyway. (I am doing 15 or 16 as well)

You're fine. Chill. Go over to TJ's and have a pizza.

Consider that AP tests play little role in the admissions process. They are used for credit and colleges only care if you've taken advantage of the opportunities at your school. 15 AP's would be more than enough.

Unless you take 20+ AP's you'll probably only get accepted to a community college

i would stop worrying about how many and more on your score for those you ARE taking.

yeah Im getting a 5 on all of them

wow people are ridic.
