Hi CC folks, I need your advice!

I filed a claim, and received my refund through Amazon.

Dealing with this seller is a nightmare. Will not respond to my emails through amazon, received more than 3 error messages that something is wrong with the seller's email configuration. Should have Googled the company first.

I sent them an email again asking how I can return the book. Copy and pasted their policy. That didn't even answer my question. This book will cost me over $10 for shipping and materials cost to return this. I would like to know if they can give me some money for shipping it back since I asked them to cancel it anyway before they can ship it.

If you are in my position, what would you do? Return the book doesn't matter if you have to pay for shipping?

Well, i would return it regardless. Furthermore, i would keep at it until the issue is resolved. Is there some way you can call the company? I have found calling to be more effective than emailing.

I would also give a bad review on them as well :/

You have to ship it back unless you opened an A-to-Z claim and won.

riku92mr - yes, I filed and won the claim that’s why I received a refund from Amazon.

icedragon – yup, already gave them a bad review. The thing is, for some reason, they have several comments after that which gives them a 5 star – but their overall rating is only 91%, and they seem to be a big company. There is no phone# listed, only their email. Their is no customer service at all.

The thing is, I don’t feel like spending money to return a book from a very disrespectful seller. Tried to contact them several times, all my emails were supposedly not received since they deactivated their email. My last message when I inquired about returning the book, after several days, they sent me a copy and pasted return policy that doesn’t even answer the question since I ALREADY GOT MY REFUND. What I want to know is how they are going to compensate me for sending me a book I don’t want.

It annoys me to spend money for this company, but I may have no choice. The seller might file a claim against me for not returning the book knowing I already received the full refund.

If you filed a claim and won, I don’t think you have to ship it back. I certainly wouldn’t if I already got my refund and had to pay for shipping to do it. I’ve done this before with no consequences, I was under the impression that was just how it worked.

This is why I stopped selling my textbooks on Amazon. I sold an economic analysis textbook for around $150, and the buyer opened some bullcrap claim against me because it didn’t include the MyEconLab thing, even though nowhere on the product page did it mention MyEconLab. Long story short, they got their money back and I never saw the textbook.
