ambiguity in the UC Davis Admission Contract

I was accepted into UCSB, UC Irvine and UC Davis and I chose to go to Davis. In the Admission Contracts of UCSB and UC Irvine, it says pretty clearly that students must maintain a 3.0 wighted GPA during their senior year. In the UC Davis contract, it says to "maintain their high level" and that students must get Cs or better.

In my junior year I got 5 As during my first semester and then 4 Bs and 1 C in my second semester. During the first semester of my senior year I got 2 As and 3 Bs. I think I will most likely get 4 Bs and 1 C again during my second semester. The likely C is Spanish 4 Honors and I am studying engineering. My other borderline class is Physics Honors. It is almost impossible for me to get a D or F. This includes only college prep classes. No fine arts or the like.

My question is how big of a drop is this? Has UC Davis always been this ambiguous or is this their first year. If it is it probably means they are cracking down. And if I am wrong about my predictions how many more C's can I have?

^ You're fine. What Davis is basically saying is that a lot of kids they want to keep have kind of boarderline grades anyway and they don't want to turn down kids who might get a 2.9 or whatever.

Believe it or not, most colleges say something along the lines of what Davis says. Only the other UC schools have a very definite formula for rescinding offers of admission.
