I think the B test will be easier? I read somewhere that one is purposely made harder than the other… dunno if that’s true but yeah lol that’s what my AoPS friends said ._.

^ pretty sure that’s not the case. They’re both supposed to be same-level really…

and im still shocked at the cutoffs… the consensus seemed to be it would be near the 120/100 mark for amc10 and 12 respectively…what happened??

dammit dammit dammit I guessed on questions stupidly because I thought there was no way I was gonna cut 100 anyways…better luck tomorrow, hopefully :(

Good luck everyone!

I’m going to bomb this test, but I’m still happy because either way I get a free day off of school, and no one other than my mom knows I’m taking it so they can’t be like “What’d you get?”

Taking it tomorrow, first thing in the morning. Hope it goes well.

Well, I said I would study, but alas, I did not. Hoping to get 14 right anyway. Good luck, everyone!

Wow. I actually got in.
Woot woot.

hi everyone, i am going to take my test…nervous
can anyone send me the answers for amc 10b after test? my email is
sophiasing4@**********
hehe…

it’s gmail,

Just took it, it went alright. Does someone want to discuss 13-18 of the 12 over pm?

On the contest booklet it says:
"The publication, reproduction, or communication of the problems or solutions of the AMC 10/12 during the period when students are eligible to participate seriously jeopardizes the the integrity of the results. Dissemination via copier, telephone, email, world wide web or media or any type during this period is a violation of the rules. "

Furthermore, on the answer form, you signed the agreement:
“I have not discussed these problems or solutions with anyone. Since not all students take this contest at the same time, I will only discuss the problems at my school, after all official participation is complete. These answers represent my own work.”

Please respect the integrity of the contests and and respect your own integrity.

aah I think this time around went much better. Would love to discuss tomorrow, when it’s okay to do so :)

Scores recently came out for form A. I flopped big time (75), but no one from my school is advancing to the next round anyway.

Answered around 11 confidently and guessed on 6 (I took the 12B). It probably won’t cut it, but I’m hoping it will.

I saw that the cutoffs for 2013 AIME qualification were posted (for AMC 10A/12A). However, when I looked at the Honor rolls that are posted on the AMC website, no-one from my school is listed (and I know that a couple of people from my school should be on that list). The site does say that scoring is in progress. Does that mean that these Honor rolls are incomplete? If so, why are they posted? Also, if scoring is still in progress, then how did they already compute the cutoffs??

yay went much better this time

they determine cutoffs via statistic sampling whatever…its a pretty accurate process, i remember seeing it somewhere. needless to say, whatever you learn in AP Stats about sampling/confidence intervals, they apply that there to get cutoffs before all scores are graded.

your scores will show up later, not everything is graded yet

where did you check the AIME qualifying cutoff scores?

Can any one pm me the answers?
