i got a 123 on the amc 12a. is that worthy enough to be put under the "academic awards and honors" section?

That is pretty good, congrats.

What does the 12a part mean? If its the right test, I think you scored higher than anybody at my school.

I would put down "qualified for the next event" instead of your score, because the AOs probably don't know if a 123 is good or not.

I got third place last year and first place this year in my school. One of my best friends got second this year and we were the only two to go on...lol.

great job, good luck on the aime

yeah, dude. I got a 123 too in my senior year of high school and I ended up getting the Honor of Distinction pin, meaning that I scored in the top 1% of all the people that took the test. Unless things go crazy, you probably will be too (don't hold me to that though...)

123 is fantastic. Top 1% of an already select group of test takers is great.

we had 26 kids taking the qualifying last year, i dont think it's that big of a deal...scoring high on AIME, however, is...

Wow, great job, shadowx! :)

I did put my AMC12 score (106.5, not very high...:()on my apps, as well as AIME (I got 6). It worked pretty well for me, so yours is probably very worth mentioning!

Best of luck for everything!

bearcats, there is a significant gap between a 100 and 120
you probably know this since 26 kids at your school qualified for the aime
anyway, scoring high on the amc is just as important as scoring high on the aime if you want to qualify for the usamo

My school doesn't offer the AMC. We're so hypocritical- we like to pretend that we're such an elite public high school... hmpph.

sigh i got a 91.5. is it worth putting it down?

i'm not sure about 91.5

if u leave the test completely blank, u'll get 50. I think 100 is to move on to second round at my old high school
