<p>It can be completed any time during your time at berkeley, but they advise getting it overwith sooner than later. You can take it p/np or for a letter grade, most conveniently if you take it for a letter grade and have it overlap with a major requirement. (ie, ESPM 50AC for conservation & resource study majors like me). they’re pretty tough to get into and tend to have long waiting lists so I’d try to phase I them within your first 3 semesters. hope that helps!</p>
