American University NMF amount??

^^How much is it? AU's website just says "Freshman applicants who were named National Achievement and National Merit finalists who designate AU as their first choice college with the National Merit Scholarship Corporation by the second week of February of their senior year." Am I missing something?

^^^

When schools don’t name an amount, that often means that the amount is not a set amount or the school is re-evaluating their past award amount.

In the past, AU’s NMF award was…

NMF Awards range from $10,000 to full tuition per year.

Ah, thanks. It was on an old list of full ride scholarships for NMFs, but I guess not any more.

I tried to find out that information several months ago when we were visiting colleges. I called financial aid, was referred to admissions, was then given the e-mail of another person…they never responded. at that point my son decided that he was not interested in that particular school, so I did not persue it.
there is quite a difference between $10K and full tuition at American!

^^yea seriously! The scholarship was actually the only reason I was looking at American, so I guess I’m not so interested anymore either

The University of Alabama shares the same ranking as American University…#79.

Bama gives NMFs free tuition, free housing (including honors housing), $1k per year, a laptop, and $1k per year.
