its still early on in the decision releasing time frame, i doubt it is an accurate way of knowing your decision… i suggest not overthinking it
lol @annsuas JUST made their CC account…a little sus especially after i said i can’t make an account in socal. i’m gonna just keep checking and wait for the mail
Isn’t the ID on your acceptance letter different than the one on your application?
^^ that would be helpful information
I’m in NorCal btw so is it maybe by region?
@sagh527 i just found out about this website and the forum…ive only been reading it and trying to make my account so when i was able to i thought it might help others…
Hi all! ED1 applicant popping in really fast to provide some info on the portal trick.
If you can get into MyAU then that means that you have been accepted, however inability to make one does not mean that you haven’t been accepted, as they activate accounts in batches and it can take a few days. The AuID on your acceptance letter is the same as the one on your application/future eagle portal.
Hopefully, this clears some stuff up!!
I was able to make an account but when i attempted to find financial aid it just said it wasn’t available to me at this time
Ahhh lordy lu, bless you @duallpeoplle I was hella worried that it meant rejection ?
Thanks for the clarification!
@noah2425 same happened to me
@annsuas sorry! a lot of people go onto schools that have released or are releasing soon and say things to stir things around. it’s happened in at least 5 schools i’ve applied to, and it’s usually with accounts that were just made. sorry again!
@duallpeoplle thank you so much!
Thanks for the encouraging words @duallpeoplle but are you just assuming that they activate the accounts in batches or is this confirmed true from previous years/this year? I honestly just don’t want to get my hopes up and its really not looking good now based on seemingly how many people it worked for
@collegepls41 There were a couple of people ED1 who couldn’t make accounts for a couple of days, some of which had received their letters in the mail. The portal isn’t ideal because of this, and really what is best to do is to wait for the letter, be it bad, mediocre, or good/
here are some comments from the ED1 thread that are relevant:
“I can’t make my portal account. I called admissions and they said this doesn’t mean anything. They said that often not making an account doesn’t mean you got rejected and making your account doesn’t always mean you’re in. Does anyone know anything about this?”
“I’ve read other threads from previous years where students couldn’t create accts but did receive acceptance letters.”
“I was able to make my account but I called and they also said that their system had a glitch and just because I got into my account doesn’t mean I got in.”
Looks like there is definitely still hope!
yes it says congrats when i clicked the enrollment agreement. any chance this could be a glitch? just dont wanna get my hopes up even though it says congrats and my name and information…
I am from southern california and could make an account, but then something happened and my computer kicked me out. Could someone who has made an account let me know how the email/username is structured? I was able to create a password, but know i don’t know my username?? Thanks!
That would be really odd to have you in their student system and have it say congratulations on acceptance and then say you didnt get in.
But I can see not being able to make an account not necessarily a rejection…technology I’d not the best.
It assigns you a password and tells you no to lose it you will need it to log back in.
@studious123 was prompted to enter AUID, name and birthdate or last 4 off SS#. It then gave an assigned username and gmail address. At some point it asked for a 16 digit password and I used that. Then I had to do security questions.
