<p>I’m applying RD to Amherst College. I was wondering if every applicant has a My Interests tab when they login to MyAmherst? Mine shows links to the major for which I am applying. I’m curious if they do that for every applicant or only those that they are seriously considering.</p>
<p>I had the same thing on my account (info about the three majors I’d speicified on Common App) so I’m not sure! But nice catch, maybe there’s some correlation? </p>
<p>I have five different interests, one for each of my three major choices, and then two more for two of my activities. I’d be surprised if they only did that for accepted students, but I’ve already been accepted via early write, so I honestly don’t know. </p>

I also have one and it says “These are the Amherst programs selected for you based on what we learned from reviewing your application to the college.” It sounds like it exists in every applicants status.</p>

<p>btw. Amherst (unconditionally) provides enough financial aid to cover accepted applicants needs, right?</p>

<p>I think it’s incredibly unlikely that this indicates admission. I’m fairly certain I had this section in January, long before I found out that I had been admitted. Also, Amherst does most of their committee deliberations in March. So they haven’t even accepted most of their class at this point.</p>

I don;t believe its a sign. I only have the three majors for my interest tab. </p>
