<p>My card (EA) came at least a week after my admission notification, so it’s probable that you just haven’t gotten them yet.</p>
<p>Mine said: “See you in the fall!”</p>

<p>I got a handwritten note in pink marker saying how she enjoyed reading my application and especially the one on games. Except she kinda smudged the details a bit… which makes me think they just glance over the application to find something to write about, and it doesn’t really have anything to do with “standing out.”</p>

<p>My bad, I thought they were an EA-only thing, but after perusing the boards a bit they aren’t apparently.</p>

<p>the handwritten note on the letter referenced my essays and encouraged me to come to the april programs. It was nothing extraordinary, but I do appreciate the gesture.</p>
<p>I got my scarf today but still no note. :p</p>
<p>Note on my card was written with a gel pen. It really sparkles and glows when I turn off the lights. UChicago on my scarf lights up at night with solar powered LEDs.</p>

<p>Seriously, we all got cards with something written on it. I am glad that counselors took the time to scribble something to give those cards a personal touch. It doesn’t really matter what they wrote.</p>
<p>RD admits, I am sure you will get it. Be happy that you got admission at UChicago and stop worrying about little things.</p>

no scarf though, although i really want one</p>
<p>^aww, mine was a typed letter. the only handwritten part was “congrats + welcome!” and we should have the same counselor, too. i feel left out. :P</p>
<p>I got a handwritten letter too! From Sonia Arora right? I guess she has too many people in the area to give us different notes, b/c she mentioned that we are “athletes and biologists, writers and historians” etc etc. </p>
<p>She did write “congratulations + welcome!” near the bottom, but its in black ink, so I don’t know if that’s printed or not.</p>
