an idea for 2011 parents

I thought I'd share something that I have planned...might be a good idea for you folks getting ready to watch your kids walk into O'Hara at Indoc....

I have a photo of my son walking into O'Hara last year, the last time he was a "civilian". The photo sits on my desk at my office and brings back lots of memories.

As I was taking some studio shots of him today in his "choker whites" (I'm a photographer in another life), I decided that every year I'll get a photo of him in the same place....

I'm thinking that when 2010 rolls around, the final photo will be him in that spot holding that wonderful "tube" with the degree inside. How cool will that montage be?- Candidate/3rd Class/2nd Class/Graduate. He presented me with his Plebe Anchors and Shoulderboards today....might make them part of the framed finale as well....

Just a thought. I know you 2011 parents are freaking out right about now....

Outstanding idea, JRH! I'm not a professional photographer, but I love to take pictures and I make Creative Memories Photo albums for my sons.

By the way, what part of Colorado are you from? I'm originally from Greeley.

We're south Denver folks

Thanks! Is there any good spot you recommend at the Academy to begin the photo journey? I too love photography, not a pro, but have several digitals including SLR and enjoy the hobby.
