Anatomy and Bio vs Organic chem and Bio?

Has anyone taken anatomy and bio at the same time or o chem and bio at the same time? If so how was the work load with the two? I’m trying to decide whether to take bio and anatomy concurrently or bio and chem… or even chem and anatomy. I need to get these three sciences done in two years so I have to take two at the same time. Any suggestions?

From my school, the general progression for biology courses is General Biology => Microbiology => Genetics + A&P I/II => Electives. I’m not sure if the bio course you’re mentioning is General Biology or Microbiology.

Personally, I would take Organic and Bio first, and then Anatomy. However, if you have the option to take either Organic or Anatomy over the summer, I would do that since they both require a huge time commitment. If you have an academic or major advisor, ask him/her what to take first. They would have a better understanding of what courses should be taken first.

I have friends who are Pharmacy majors and in their second year, they took Organic Chem I, Microbiology, and Anatomy & Physiology I in one semester, and they were always studying for either of those three classes. I’m taking Anatomy this fall, and it will take out a large chunk of my time for studying and filling out diagram packets and online quizzes. I would check RateMyProfessor to see how your future professors are, and think about how their classes will impact your schedule.

Hope this helps and best of luck!
