And the 2nd Wave is....

RChris173, GeeksRule : still waiting for my CMU decision, mostly rejected/WL ... but i got into GaTech too (apart frm UIUC) ... and i guess GaTech sounds as the only viable option ...

just wanted an opinion between GaTech and UIUC ... and also GaTech and Univ of Michigan (Ann Arbor) ... cheers

I will most likely end up going to UF...Georgia Tech is a great school from what I've heard, but I can't make a decision solely based on that without actually visiting it firsthand. Many people tell me that UF is great from undergraduate study, especially when the tution is free to Florida Bright Future Recipients. (Sort of like the HOPE scholarship to Georgia Residents)

We're starting to lean heavily towards GaTech. UF's financial aid offer was dreadful (we're out of state). GaTech wasn't great, but is right up S's areas of interest.

I think he'll still Priority WL at CMU however. But, honestly, after this process, I'm souring on CMU and finding it pretty hard to rationalize and extra $15K a year for CMU.

If you're out of state, go to Ga Tech over UF then...didn't you say he was a National Merit Scholar Finalist?

A large majority of those do indeed go to UF, but...I thought that covers tuition?

BTW, just wondering...what did UF offer?
