Another "chances of getting in" thread.

Since it seems that every single person I talk to has a completely different opinion on what colleges I have a chance of getting into, I figured posting a few threads here (I am posting this thread in a few sections and I'm new to this, so please don't chew my head off if I seem like a noob) couldn't hurt.

I know its long, but I really want a clear assesment of my actual chances of getting accepted to Harvey Mudd. Thanks in advance :)

Well I can't tell you your chances since I probably don't know enough, but you probably (or definitely) want to bring up your SAT scores, as they're rather low. Also, it might be better if more of your ECs were math-focused, since you seem like you're interested in becoming a math major.

Um...
I like your extracurriculars, and I'm pretty confident Mudd will, too -- that's some variety there! I'd be a bit worried about your scores though.

(Also, do NOT worry about females in math majors. I can't explain why here, but trust me.)

I need to ask -- why do you want to be a math major? What prompted this? (Feel free to PM me.) If you really, really love math, let that shine through in your essays and you'll have a decent shot. (I'd work on those stats, though. =( )
