Another question regarding appeal of denial

I hope everybody is doing well.
I appealed to UC Davis recently. It is a flawless choice for me, and I really wanted to get in. Therefore, I used some tricks from other forums to increase my chance. Since I admired the work from a professor, I sent him an email and told him how much I love his projects and wanted to part of it. I also emailed an undergraduate academic advisor and stated how much I valued UC Davis, how I will improve my academic achievement( unlike before) and how I will contribute to the campus.

The question is, since I already submitted my appeal, will these emails appeared unnecessary and annoyed them? I knew all the goods about UC Davis and clarify them in the mail as well.

Thank you !

I would have just mentioned this professor specifically in your appeal letter by stating you admired their work and would like to participate in their research if admitted. I seriously doubt that these emails will make any difference on your waitlist outcome, but if accepted you have made your interest and presence known.

@Gumbymom Thank you for your response. You are right, I should have mentioned my interest in the professor’s projects on the appeal letter, instead of did it separately!! I should ask in CC earlier!!!
