<p>Is there any disadvantage to waiting a few weeks before sending in deposit? For example at PSU you may have to get placed in supplemental housing if you commit last minute. They have rolling admissions so S was accepted back in November. I realize that although S was accepted to Tech in February that most everyone else just heard back a few weeks ago. Does that mean that most students send their deposits in at the end of April? Is it ok to wait a few weeks?</p>
<p>VT ran into issues with freshmen housing last year too - they were offering to allow freshman to live off campus. I believe it was because more students than they anticipated accepted their admission offer. i don’t know if they expect the same to happen this year. I wuold suggest giving the housing office a call to get a sense of what’s going on.</p>
<p>funny - We paid the housing deposit at PSU too before my daughter finally decided on VT.</p>
