Ok... I've already sent my SAT scores to all of my schools, but I just got back my ACT scores... should I send them out as well...

What score is better... my SAT or ACT?

SAT

TOTAL - 2020

W - 650
Essay - 11

ACT

Composite - 30

not even close in my opinion - act way better.
good luck.

The scores are very close, so send the ACT scores in case the schools concord a 30 to be above 2020.

30 is the top 96% of the country. it is a very good score. I know someone who just got into Dartmouth with an ACT 29 composite. Yeah she was top 5% out of several hundred and had great ecs - like starting a book club for senior citizens. but nothing else special, no hook; didn’t take the SAT and had about 700 on her SAT IIs. So I don’t know if your SAT score equates to top 96%. Your ACT is very good. You have a shot at some very good schools. Be proud. Good luck.

According to [Estimated Relationship between ACT Composite Score and SAT CR+M+W Score](http://www.act.org/aap/concordance/estimate.html), 30 should concord to ~2000.

thanks for that link.
the act web site says a 30 is top 96%
anyway, very interesting

yeah… I’m going to send my ACT to all of my schools… it can’t hurt when they are statistically that close to one another…
